I consider myself “always a student of yoga, sometimes a teacher”

I’ve been practicing yoga since 2005, and teaching since 2013. I started practicing yoga as a physical workout and a way to manage stress, as I was working in corporation at that time. Yoga helped me manage my stress level that was growing along with the growth of my career, and also helped me perform well at work.

Eventually I decided to study yoga in depth with Satyananda Yoga Australia, and awarded Diploma of Yoga. I began teaching part time while still working in corporation, while continuing my yoga study. Aside from the many workshops & trainings with various international & local yoga teachers, I also did a 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training with Fitness First and 300 hour Yoga Teacher Training with Byron Yoga, and this qualifies me to register as RYT 500.

After a couple of years of part time teaching, I decided to leave corporate life and teach yoga full time. I’m now a Yoga Alliance registered E-RYT 500 (the ‘E’ stands for ‘Experienced’ – that means I’ve taught yoga for at least 2000 hours). I’ve been teaching yoga full time since 2015 and enjoying every moment of it. I feel very blessed for this opportunity of facilitating and observing transformation of bodies, minds, and hearts, through yoga.

I continue to study yoga with several teachers. The most recent long-term yoga training at I attended was a 2-year Viniyoga Teacher Training at Krishnamacharya Healing & Yoga Foundation, Chennai India, under the mentorship of Dr. Kausthub Desikachar.

Other teachers I continue to study with are Thelma Wuisan (Bali), Jo Phee (Singapore), Leila Stuart (Canada), and several others. For more complete list, check my profile page at Yoga Alliance.

My yoga session varies from gentle to more physically active, catering to participant’s needs, emphasizing on discovering harmony of body, mind & soul through movement, breath, and stillness. I teach public group classes at several studios in Jakarta. I also teach individual & group privately, workshops & trainings, & facilitate retreats. Click here to check my offerings.

Together with two yoga friends I co-founded Harmony Yoga School, a medium to share the wisdom of yoga in a comprehensive way. We believe that yoga is not only on the mat, but also outside the mat, in our daily life. We offer Harmony Yoga School Trainings based on this understanding.
